Maze Finger starts out with a simple marker on the screen. Once you put your finger on this marker, the game begins and the timer starts, but there is a bit of planning involved before you even put your finger on the screen. In most of the levels there are blocks that flash on and off that are intended to impede your progress. If you run into these blocks, the marker under your finger detaches and you must regain control. This is intended to slow you down and burn through your time, that is why you must scope out when the blocks are flashing so you can start your maze accordingly. You can also be detached from your marker if you touch the walls. A combination of speed and agility is required to tear through the mazes.

On the completion of each stage you are given a rating indicating how fast you completed the stage and a score dependent upon the rating. Indicators are placed within the mazes to help or harm you. If you run into flashing skulls and crossbones, you die. A lightning bolt will increase your energy to assist you in making it through the stage in time. The game play is fairly hectic and the markers are self explanatory, so a steady finger and a bit of common sense will go a long way.

The basic principles of games like (Desktop) Tower Defense are what make them so addicting. As such, tower defense’s rules are simple to understand: build a maze of different weapons which the enemy – in case of Fieldrunners a varying number of ground and air units – has to walk through or fly over.

In Fieldrunners there are four different weapons at your disposal, which can be upgraded numerous times. Those weapons are Gatling Tower – short range, cheap, Goo Tower – slows enemy down, Missile Tower – long range, good against air units, Tesla Tower – powerful, expensive. There are only two maps available right now, but the developer is working on getting more added soon. The developer is also planning on creating new towers for you and enemies.

Field Runner makes good use of the touch screen which you can use to move over the map and zoom into using the usual finger gestures. Even when there are many units on the screen, there’s no noticeable lag. The game runs perfectly smooth. This game also saves the game; even if you press the home button it’ll be saved. Then the next time you get on and play you will be started at that same spot.

In Bounce On, a red ball has accidentally fallen out of someone’s pocket and it’s the player’s job to guide it home while picking up gems and power-ups along the way and avoiding (or squashing) enemies, Mario-style. The ball is controlled via tilt with a tap to the screen to bounce. The graphics are simplistic, cartoony and colorful.

The game features smooth animation and a comfortable play pace. The game makes uses of an “over world” map–similar to that of Super Mario Bros. 3–and offers players multiple paths to reaching the “door” to the next world. Currently the game consists of 2 worlds with over 30 levels of play. The developers promise more worlds to come as free updates with world 3 near completion.

The game play is very simple. You control the ball by tilting your phone left or right. Sensitivity settings are absent but the game doesn’t need them because the tilt control is so well done. Bounce the ball by pressing anywhere on the screen. The longer you press the screen, the higher you bounce. Enemies like spring balls, walking balls that get angry when you bounce on them and spiked balls are all there to impede your progress. Touch one of them or fall off a ledge into the videogame depths below and you lose a life. Power-ups turn your ball invincible, increase the jump height, and magnetize your ball.

In Find it you are presented two images that seem to be identical on first glance. However, each pair of images differs in four details — find them! But look carefully: this may be harder than it sounds, as an ever-shortening time limit is working against you. If you just cannot find the next error, do not give up, since there are two wild cards that will help you out.

This game features many things. Such as, there are 400 different pairs of beautiful pictures with many varying topics, almost 3000 different errors, randomly chosen per level. Even if you encounter an image again, the errors won’t be the same! The perfect game for playing your iPod’s music in the background — just deactivate the game’s music in the options menu!

Wildcards will help you out in case you get stuck. It has a new high score list NEW, it also has game statistics! If you can’t find one of the errors don’t give up, because you have two wild cards. These wild cards will show you the difference. The lite version of this only offers you 25 pairs of pictures and about 200 different errors. It also has a local high score list.

Plant vs. Zombies is a typical tower defense game in some ways. However, it has so much strategy, especially when you get to the higher levels. You own a home that zombies would like to break into and eat your brains. Apparently you have quite the green thumb and can utilize plants to fend the zombies off round after round. Each of the plants has different characteristics that either destroy the zombies or slow them down. There are quite a few different plant types. There are also quite a few of different zombie types. Making the game play even more difficult, you only have a limited amount of plants you can pick to use in any one round. You need to pick them wisely based on the view of the zombies lined up on the street. Awesome zombies mixed with chess style strategy equals awesome game play.

The music used throughout the game is just phenomenal. The sound throughout it all fits perfectly. The graphics are all very colorful and wonderful to look at. The zombie animations are hilarious and you will see zombies that will try to pole vault their way over your defenses and get into your house. Just wait until you see your last ditch line of defense, it’s simply hilarious. Even the menu is fun; check out the help section on the main menu and find an easter egg.

Everything happens in a 2-D world, where you see the action from overhead. Bobble-headed Bomber man makes his way through the maze, which changes from level to level, chased relentlessly by enemies. If the enemies touch him, he dies. Bomber man can set off bombs wherever he wants, but if he doesn’t scoot out of the way of the blast fast enough, he, too, will be flamed and will lose a life.

Power-ups imbue Bomber man with special abilities—Fire Up increases the blast radius by one square, for example, while Bomb Up lets you increase the number of bombs you can set. There’s a Speed Up tile you can grab, along with an extra life tile.

Among the maze there are bricks you can destroy by planting bombs near them. This is handy for accessing new parts of the maze, which you may need to do to destroy enemies or grab power-ups. And once you’ve cleared the level, a Warp Panel will activate to take you to the next one.

Bomber man also includes a few mini-games which help you take the game play a bit further. The mini-games are rewards for clearing a level (comprising several stages). You can return to the mini-games you’ve reached any time you want by using the Challenge mode, but you have to play through in Normal mode in order to access all three of them.
